I am so addicted to the Gemgame on DMB! It is so fun...I am out on a mission to get the highest score on the 5th level where there is only 30 seconds. I practially spent all my money just playing the game. I got to stop...hehehe.

To show all my support to DMB I made a spiffy fansign today! Excuse my messy handwriting, hehe.

Nothing much happened here today. It was a very blah day and I had really bad cramps about an hour or two ago. I am dreading having to study for Honors Bio. I have like a C+ average in that class and I really need to do better. I am such a worrywort.

To all of my friends: Thanks for adding me and commenting on my entries! I really appreciate it all! It makes me feel a lot more noticed and special! hehehe

How Inconsiderate Members Can Be!

Posted by chickie at 10:11 PM on September 16, 2003.

I just thought I would bring this topic up to rant because I have nothing else to do that is interesting at all! I cannot believe on many of the message boards that I see (not all) how rude members are to mods. They think they are like uber-popular, but you are just making everybody's lives more crazy. Especially at KCI, we are constantly getting rude PMs from members (I am not telling names). What is going on through these people's heads and why dont some people just take 5 minutes out of their time to READ THE FREAKING RULES! Yeah, I just got a PM/U2U the other day with some brat calling me the devil! I never thought I was that bad of a person. Anybody else have bad experiences like this? What do you tell them?

I dont mean to offend anyone. Just ranting like I said at the start. It is kind of like the old time quote "If you dont have something nice to say, dont say anything at all."

Fall Play Auditions

Posted by chickie at 09:21 PM on September 17, 2003.

Today were the play's auditions. I have no idea how well I did on this. I hope I make it, but the plays only take about 12-13 people and there were maybe 30 trying out. *crosses fingers* The call back list for Jazz Choir is posted tommorrow then there will be 2 more cuts after that. I have no idea what chances I have for that anymore.
~~~~~
I am not going to homecoming (I dont like to dress up... ), but next week we dont have to wear our uniforms, but instead a certain theme for the day. The whole theme for homecoming is Sweet Home Chicago...I think it is rather stupid.
Monday: Dress Up Day
Tuesday: Chicago Sports (I got to go buy some stuff)
Wednesday: Class Colors, Freshmen=White
Thursday: Gangster/Flapper (WHAT THE HECK!!! What are you supposted to do for this...pathetic.)
Friday: Ethnic Background (Another trip to the mall)
What was my school thinking? They are okay, but Thursday is stupid. *sigh* It has been a long day....
Dollies
Posted by chickie at 10:22 PM on September 18, 2003.
I have been admiring everybody's cute dolls on the boards for the avatar contest. I always feel like the unlucky one though. My *new* computer has been freezing lately or at least the Internet connection just boots me off all the time. When it isnt that problem, the size for the doll is all distorted when I upload it and it is getting on my nerves. Kinda annoying and just my luck! I will upload both of the dolls that I already made.
More on the "lucky" subject...yesterday when I was at my locker, I bumped my head twice on the locker doors that were above me. It *really* hurts!!!! I suggest be careful for all of you with bottom lockers.
This Journal is a Male
Posted by chickie at 11:28 PM on September 19, 2003.
According to my entries sound like I am a male. How interesting. Most of the people who posted on the Protag boards got male also. I guess most people use the word 'the' more than 'a' or 'an'. Please comment with your results...I want to see what other people also got. Link: http://www.bookblog.net/gender/genie.html
~~~~~
I didnt make Jazz Choir callbacks. I didnt think I was going to though since it is mainly for Juniors and Seniors, but I did try my best. Only one freshmen made callbacks and there is still one more cut after that. Hopefully I might have the chance of making it in the future!

Sleeping Positions

Posted by chickie at 06:27 PM on September 20, 2003.

I got this article from a post on DMB and found it interesting to share:

Crouched in the fetal position is the most popular sleep pattern and favored by 51 percent of women, according to the results of the study he conducted for a large hotel group.

Fetal sleepers tend to be shy and sensitive while people who assume the soldier position, flat on their back with arms at their sides, are quiet and reserved.

Sleeping on one's side with legs outstretched and arms down in what Idzikowski refers to as the log, indicates a social, easy-going personality. But if the arms are outstretched in the yearner position, the person tends to be more suspicious.

The freefall, flat on the tummy with the hands at the sides of the head, is the most unusual position. Only 6.5 percent of people prefer it and they are usually brash and gregarious.

Unassuming, good listeners usually adopt the starfish position -- on the back with outstretched arms and legs.
~~~~~
It appears that I am an oddball once again because I sleep on my tummy with my hands under my head. Brash and gregarious...not sure what that means. I used to be a really wild sleeper and practially made a full circle during the night, but now I have seemed to calm down strangly enough. What are everybody else's sleeping position personalities?
Thanks to Lele's Tutorial!
Posted by chickie at 09:18 PM on September 21, 2003.
*claps* I am so excited now! Lele made a great tutorial for the Candybar doll maker site which was all in Korean. It is one awesome site (www.candybar.co.kr) especially the shop with the little heart next to it. I finally made myself a good avatar now for the Protag boards and I think I also might use it as my second icon here. I dont know if I am going to enter the avatar contest though because so many people have awesome dolls that are much better than mine. Whats your secret?
A weekday that I finally have to go online! I actually have no homework at all except studying for an easy vocab test tommorrow. I have never had it this easy since the 4th grade probably. *celebrates* But...this is one of the only days this week where I dont have any TV shows to watch. Just my luck!
Monday Many
Posted by chickie at 09:39 PM on September 23, 2003.
Copyright www.elven-board.com
Emiliza made up the questions.
1) What is the last thing you've been procrastinating about?
Homework of course! I am not proud of being a procrastinator, but it is a part of human nature practially!
2) Have you ever been mistaken by the wrong gender...accidentily? If so what did you do about it?
No, thankfully! At least I havent been called a guy to my face.
3) What day of the WHOLE week, do you hate the most?
Monday because you have to go back to school and you cant sleep late anymore!
4) Whats your favourite quote and why?
One of my favorites right now is taken from the song It's You by Michelle Branch. "If tommorrow never comes, I would want just one wish, to kiss your quiet mouth, and trace the steps with my fingertips." I like it just because it really paints a beautiful picture into my head and it is also sad in a way.
5) What part of your appearance do you hate? What do you like?
I hate my hair because it is so blah and never cooperates. I like my teeth though because they are getting really straight with the help of my braces. I cant wait until I get those off!
6) What do you think is your best talent, and why?
Singing! Its actually a natural talent for me and it is one of the only things I am good at. People have told me I have a good voice also and I believe them.
7) If you were to have just ONE dream come true, what shall it be and why?
To marry Clay! <3
8) What is one thing that you shall never forgive your parent(s) or guardian for?
My mom forcing me to get contacts when I dont want them. I dont think she understands when I am not comfortable with doing something.
"But That's Common, Remember?"
Posted by chickie at 07:25 PM on September 24, 2003.
title- "But that's common remember?"
You don't know me
And you never will
You can't know me
Because if you know me,
You can hurt me
I tried once, to let you know me
I told you my deepest fear
And you laughed it off, saying it was common
I laughed with you, to cover my pain
Now i know what "learning the hardway" means
Thats why you'll never know me
And when I become depressed
You call me up and beg me to tell you what's wrong
So YOU'LL feel better
Not that I will
So that if i end all my pain, you won't feel guilty
In your mind, you'll reassure yourself
Because you tried to help
But I wouldn't let you know me
It's not YOUR fault
At parties, you notice that I end up in corners, silent
You see that I'm always depressed
But it's not YOUR fault
I wouldn't let you know me
So you don't feel guilty
I long to tell you about me
But than I remember that fateful day
Because my greatest fear
Is never having anyone know me
But that's common, remember?
~~~~~
I just think this is a pretty good poem. My friend gave me it a while ago and I decided to share. I like poetry, but I could never write it myself. Poems are usually depressing though because almost all of them are about death.

Internet Friends vs. Real Life Friends

Posted by chickie at 04:36 PM on September 26, 2003.

Maybe this is just me, but for some odd coinsidence I have so many more online friends and I get along with them better that real-life friends. Its interesting when you see a person everyday, it is hard for me to keep a conversation going all the time, but you always have something to talk about online with somebody on your buddy list! Salome and I just had a long chat about life and how it is the telephone game most of the time where people are always gossiping about you behind your back. I do have a few friends in real life, but since I just started high school a month ago they dont know me that well yet and my "best friend" isnt talking to me and pretending to be popular.

I guess my point of this entry is THANKS to all my online friends here or on any of the message boards, etc! I know I am sticking around the boards and Internet until they all disappear! <3

The Lion King Musical

Posted by chickie at 10:05 AM on September 29, 2003.

I went to go see the Lion King the Musical last night with my mom and cousin in downtown Chicago. I have to write an essay about it for Chorus. It was so good though and if you are in a city that is playing it...try to go see it! The costumes are incredible and the actors voices were exactly like the movie. We had the people who performed on Broadway also which was lucky. The young Simba had to be the best though...I have never seen such a young kid before be a better singer. If you think all those American Juniors were good, think again! Has anybody else seen it or have any experiences?
