Europe Trip

Posted by chickie at 09:04 PM on October 1, 2003.

Yesterday we had the informational meeting about the trip to Europe with the Foreign Language department at my school. They are going to Spain, Franch, and Italy in June and it sounds really fun and I think I am going to go. I have always wanted to go to Europe (for some reason my mom doesnt at all) so this might be a fun opportunity especially with some people from school. Has anybody else gone on a trip like this with their school or do you have a program that even offers one? (I always like to end some of my entries with a question to allow some people to comment...hehehe)

What Type of Thinker are You?

Posted by chickie at 04:01 PM on October 4, 2003.

I got this quiz from x shinsei's journal. http://www.bbc.co.uk/science/leonardo/ What did everybody else get?

You are an Intrapersonal thinker
Intrapersonal thinkers:
Spend a lot of time thinking about and trying to understand themselves
Reflect on their thoughts and moods, and work to improve them
You understand how your behaviour affects your relationships with others

Like intrapersonal thinkers, Leonardo worked hard to improve all aspects of himself. Other Intrapersonal thinkers include
Sigmund Freud, Gandhi, Grahame Greene

Careers which suit Intrapersonal Thinkers include
Psychologist, Teacher, Pilot, Child care worker, Explorer, Drama therapist

I HATE BACKSTABBERS. I am bound to get a couple people from a site (Paula and Simon Heaven) banned, they are so rude!

My Measure of a Man Review

Posted by chickie at 03:44 PM on October 16, 2003.

If you are interested in buying Clay's CD, but dont know if you should get it, here's my own personal review.

I really do recommend this, not just because I like him either. They didnt distort his voice with backup singers and the background music really adds to the songs. I am sure you would like this CD if you like pop music and each song adds something a little different. Plus on amazon.com it went platinum just from the PREORDER sales. I think that is saying quite a good statement in itself!

1. Invisible- This is the single that was released so you most likely will hear it on the radio. It is probably the most commerical song on the album like a song he would most likely sing on American Idol.

2. I Will Carry You- The lyrics are really meaningful and cute! The beat sounds like something you would hear on another singer's album. His voice sounds different at the beginning, but in a good way.

3. The Way- This is a good song, but it is the most dragged on out of all of them. One of my least favorites, but hey it might not be for everybody else.

4. When You Say You Love Me- This one has a little country tune to it which adds to the album. It isnt the best song, but not the worst either.

5. No More Sad Songs- This is another one with a good beat like something you would hear on a different CD. The meaning of this song is a lot different from some other songs.

6. Run to Me- This sounds probably the most like him on American Idol. Along with I will Carry you, it has a cute meaning to the song. <3

7. Shine- This song doesnt fit the best with his voice and he doesnt always sound like the classic Clay. It isnt a bad song though.

8. I Survived You- This is one of my favorites, I think the whole package is really awesome! It sounds like him, has good lyrics, and the refrain is cool. He has a longer range in this song.

9. This is the Night- I am getting tired of this song since I already heard it so many times before and I am sure all Clay fans have.

10. Perfect Day- Another of of the best! A classic love song that of course I have to love! I love the refrain like I Survived You.

11. Measure of a Man- So this is where the title of the album came from. Well they sure did a good job of naming it because he could be that person in the song. Very good! Two thumbs up!

12. Touch- This song is the most NOT like Clay since it has a couple sexual refrences which I was at first surprised about. It is one of my favorites though since it is the most diverse and could be one of those songs you play at a party!

"Sexual" Quizzes

Posted by chickie at 05:40 PM on October 27, 2003.

I never thought I was like either of these! Luckily, they are just online quizzes!

and

You Are A Romantic Kisser!

About Your Kissing Style:

You'll only kiss if the mood is right and if you think you are falling in love.

Some may say you're old fashioned, but when you kiss, you see stars!

One kiss from you, and anyone will be hooked forever.

What Your Kissing Style Says About You:

You're no prude, but if you're going to get sexual, it needs to mean something.

You prefer to take things slow, because it only makes them better in the long run.

You're much more likely to find yourself engaged than in some stranger's bed.

Your Personal Kissing Matches and Mismatches:

You and another Romantic Kisser is just pure bliss. You both enjoy the finer aspects of
seduction and have the preference of taking things slow. It's practially love at first site.
You'll also find yourself attracted to Juicy Kissers. The
way a Juicy Kisser locks eyes with you and draws you in is almost cosmic...

Manic Kissers are to be avoided at all costs. These kissers
love to kiss everyone and can never commit to one person. Next! Carnal Kissers aren't
your style either. They'll push you for sex way too soon... and get very upset when they don't get their way.

Philosophical

Posted by chickie at 05:26 PM on October 30, 2003.

From a post on www.elven-board.com and from Tom's blog!

1)You are on the edge of a forest. What is the day like?
The sun is setting for the day with many shades of colors of orange and pink. I feel at peace with myself.

2)What does the forest look like?
It is during the middle of fall with many trees and all of their leaves are changing colors and falling off.

3)You can see a path. What does it look like?
It is a plain dirt path. It seems like the road less traveled by since nobody ever goes in the middle of the forest.

4)You come across a drinking vessel of some form. Describe.
There is a old stone well with clear clean water in it. It is in an opening with many trees around it. The path go by it.

5)There is a tree blocking your path. Describe. How do you get past it?
I walk around the tree. It is a very big tree and looks like a different type from the rest. All of its leaves have already fallen off. The roots come out of the ground slightly and I have to watch my steps carefully.

6)You find a key. Describe it. What do you do to it?
I see a shiny small silver key at the edge of one of the tree roots. I take it along in case somebody is looking for it up ahead. It looks like a foreign type of key.

7)You come across a snake, lying in the path. What do you do to get past it?
I start to walk slower since it is sleeping right in the middle of the path hidden by a few leaves. It isnt a large snake, but it might be poisonous so I am careful.

8)You come across some sort of house, surrounded by a fence. Describe the fence.
The fence is a made out of a short, brick wall. It has a gate that is a tad smaller than the rest of the fence.

9)You manage to get past the fence. Describe the building. Does anyone live there? Who are the inhabitants?
It doesnt look like anybody is home, but it looks like a cozy little cottage made mostly out of brick from Europe. In the front windows, there are a couple small pots of flowers that are still alive during colder weather.

10) You go inside. What is there? Who is there?
It isnt a modern looking house, but it is nice and has many old-fashioned appliances. Nobody is home like I thought, but there is a small lamp on in the kitchen.

11) You leave the building and come across an animal. Describe.
It is a white-tailed deer. I am surprised that is isnt really afraid of me. It seems like it is looking for food and is very skinny. I feel bad that I dont have anything for it, but I have to move on.

12) You find water. What is the water like? How is it set in the land?
It is the same type of clear water that was in the well. It is a skinny little creek with just enough water not to overflow. Its base is made out of stone and it is set over a hill. It seems to continue for a while, but I dont have enough time to trace how far back it goes.

13)Finally you come to a cliff. What do you see? What do you do?
It is really getting dark out with barely enough light to get home. I sit down and rest for about 15 minutes before I continue on. This place intrested me, but I still cannot put all the pieces of the puzzle together. How come I never knew this forest was here before and it is only 10 minutes away from my house? I can hear the trickle of the stream behind me and some small creatures scurrying to find shelter before there is no more light. I quietly stand up and make my way down the hill and towards the direction of my house.
